Office Manager

Kim joined the firm in May, 2021. She serves as the Office Manager for Ingold Law, PLLC. She is the friendly face and voice of the firm that greets clients on the phone and visitors to our office. She provides general office support and assists the management team and paralegals with various tasks and projects. Kim has a great deal of experience in customer service and business administration and is an excellent communicator, all of which adds to her value at the firm.  

Kim lives in Hamburg with her husband, two daughters, and two English Bulldogs.  

Sibohan D. Spencer

Siobhan D. Spencer

Head of Estate Planning Department

Siobhan joined the Ingold Law team in 2020. As our Estate Planning legal assistant, she assists in gathering the necessary information for estate planning documents and prepares all advanced directives.  In addition, Siobhan coordinates estate planning appointments and supports the attorneys throughout the process. She also assists with asset protection planning by preparing deeds and working with financial professionals and institutions to transfer assets to established trusts.

Siobhan prides herself on her ability to communicate and guide clients efficiently through the Estate Planning process, and finds it rewarding to help people secure their future. A lifelong resident of Buffalo New York, she currently resides in the City of Good Neighbors with her wonderful husband of 8 years and their two beautiful children. In her free time, she likes to spend it with family and shop for new purses.

Kathy Karas

Kathy Karas

Head of Medicaid Department

Kathy is head of the Medicaid Department with over 13 years of experience in advocating for clients and completing Medicaid applications on their loved one’s behalf. Kathy graduated from Canisius College, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

Kathy works diligently to assist clients and their loved ones throughout the Medicaid application process. Her compassion for clients during what is often a stressful and difficult time has made Kathy an asset of the firm.

Kathy uses her considerable multitasking skills and customer service experience to help families whose loved one is in nursing home or receiving long term care in the home by providing detailed support to the attorneys at Ingold Law. From complex asset protection planning in a time of crisis to simple applications for benefits for individuals of limited means, she is involved from beginning to end. Kathy assists clients by providing regular contact and updates, managing the application process, maintaining the case calendar and deadlines, and drafting legal affidavits regarding prior transactions within the Medicaid lookback period. She also maintains all document production and the client case file, and is integral in preparing the application as well as conducting an in-depth review of the final Medicaid decision and nursing home bills to ensure accuracy.

Kathy lives in Clarence with her husband Bruce. They have two children, Bryan and Lindsay. While not at Ingold Law, Kathy enjoys traveling, cooking, gardening and anything in the outdoors.

Tammy Magiera

Tammy Magiera 

Head of Estate Administration Department

Tammy Magiera joined Ingold Law PLLC in March of 2011. Tammy brings to this firm 17 years of experience in Estate Administration, Estate Planning and Elder Law. Tammy is trained in the fields of estate, gift and income taxation, as well as Surrogate’s Court proceedings. As head of the Estate Administration department, she is skilled in the preparation of all necessary legal documents for an estate proceeding. She assists clients in the administration of an estate from the time of death to the final accounting and settlement. With a solid foundation in estate administration, she is able to simplify its complicated process. Her knowledge in this area of law assures that our clients’ matters will be handled with the utmost responsibility and confidentiality. Her professionalism and passion for this area of law are only matched by her compassion for the firm’s clients.

Tammy is a graduate of Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina where she earned her Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies. In addition, she attended Hilbert College and Erie Community Colleges paralegal programs. Tammy enjoys traveling, spending time with her family including her dogs Lucy and Laney and watching her daughter’s sporting events.

Office Dog and Greeter

Lucy the Lab joined our team in December 2017, and is the fur baby of Tammy Magiera, our Estate Administration paralegal. Lucy has been working at Ingold Law as the “Office Dog” since she was eight weeks old. She is responsible for providing pet therapy and dog-cuddle fixes. Lucy frequently attends client conferences with the Ingold Law members and their clients. She also considers herself the official “Greeter” at the front door. She is also very fond of anything she can get to eat. Lucy enjoys her toys, swimming and playing catch with her “Chuck It” at the park.
